Institutional division of a leading global financial services firm specializing in private banking, investment banking, and asset management. With a history of tradition and innovation, they serve corporate, institutional, and sovereign clients in over 26 countries worldwide.

To establish a new standard of client service in their global fixed income franchise by creating a single unified platform that could handle both cash (government bonds, interest rate options) and derivative products (CDS, structured interest rate derivatives) across all regions. To harness these cross business synergies, OpenCrowd was brought in to migrate their legacy system to a more flexible, strategic environment to facilitate rapid business growth.

Working closely with our Client, we designed and developed an entirely new service oriented architecture platform that has become the reference architecture for the entire firm.

Innovation
Using both open and commercial source technologies, OpenCrowd developed a strategic new architecture and custom application that will enable our client to rapidly grow both horizontally and vertically for years to come. The application includes a java enabled middle-tier, a .NET front-end and an Oracle back-end. The service oriented architecture has enabled our client to rapidly develop, deploy and re-use services across their enterprise.

Speed
Although this was a multi-year strategic initiative, this application was delivered utilizing Agile development practices with software delivery cycles every 3 weeks.
