HUMANKIND Announced as the Winner of the Hedera20 DragonGlass Challenge

After careful deliberation, we are pleased to annouce HUMANKIND as the winner of the Hedera20 Virtual Hackathon DragonGlass challenge.  We want to thank every team who participated and leveraged DragonGlass to help create innovative and forward-thinking solutions.  Below we have included a full list of all the projects that were submitted for the DragonGlass challenge, as well as links to their GitHub repositories.  You can view HUMANKIND's official press release on the win here.

  • Crypto Karma: A simple interface for accessing enterprise blockchain to invest, monitor, and manage using real time tracking data, while utilizing DragonGlass Historical API to calculcate your net worth in real time.

  • cryptoZakat: An autonomous decentralized charitable organization powered by Hedera Hashgraph to build trust in charitable fund management.  cryptoZakat utilizes an HCS smart contract to cut out intermediaries and records every transaction on DragonGlass for transparency and security.

  • Energy Sector Realtime Trading and Reporting: A commercial energy platform where consumers can trade and optimize energy use via data feeds produced using HCS.  The platform uses DragonGlass' reatime subscription service to retrieve data to optimize energy use and determine energy buy/sell prices and view Carbon Interval Values for trading, as well as using DragonGlass APIs to fetch historical feed data for energy prices and carbon emissions for reporting.

  • Finalpay.io: Finalpay provides a easy-to-use and powerful HBAR payment stack for e-merchants. It utilizes the DragonGlass queue service to listen for transactions flowing through the Hedera mainnet and matching them using their internal order matching system. Once the payments have reached consensus on Hedera, DragonGlass alerts Finalpay of the new transactions, and an application is alerted of the new payment.

  • Hashgraph World: A drag-and-drop low code dashboard for connecting HCS with Kafka directly from your browser.  Uses DragonGlass to retrieve information from Hedera.

  • Hushpuppy: Hushpuppy is a framework for decentralized finance using HBAR, using HCS as an interoperable ledger. The framework wraps HBAR in a ERC-20 token (wHBAR) to be used in the Ethereum ecosystem. The framework can be also used for native DAO and wrapped tokens in Hedera Hashgraph as well.  It utilizes DragonGlass' Oracle Server for hash.js to post transactions from HCS.

  • KPAY: A simple server plug-in for micropayment metering that utilizes DragonGlass to reject events resulting in overdraft based on the HCS sequence.

  • Nonselective Reporting: A platform for creating surveys that stores evidence of acceptance of an answer on the blockchain and subsequent evidence of a full report.  It uses DragonGlass to store survey results on Hedera and to confirm that the original survey answers match the stored evidence.

  • Ocean Plastic Collection and Recycling: A platform that aims to bring together corporate, government and citizens to promote ocean plastic collection and recycling.  Regulators of the platform use DragonGlass to see all live transactions for a complete flow of each recycled plastic asset.

  • Parkin: Parkin is a decentralized parking app where vehicle owners can connect with nearby registered parking lots and customers can rent out their own space on Hashgraph for others to park in in exhange for HBAR. All transaction details from Hedera are recorded in DragonGlass.
